Oh, the joys of being an 80's child...

I was born in 1982, and....

Bold all that apply
1. You've ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE."
Actually, that's one thing I've never done.

2. You watched the Pound Puppies.
I still have my Pound Puppy. And I watched it too.

3. You can sing the rap to the "Fresh Prince of Bel Air"

4. You wore biker shorts under your skirts and felt stylish.
Yes, but see, this had a purpose. I wore them under my Catholic School uniform so I could hang upside down on the monkey bars without revealing my undies to the world.

5. You yearned to be a member of the Baby-sitters club and tried to start a club of your own.
Read them, never wanted to be them though...

6. You owned those lil Strawberry Shortcake pals scented dolls.

7. You know that "WOAH" comes from Joey on Blossom.
I can't believe I actually watched that show...

8. Two words: M.C. Hammer.

9. If you ever watched "Fraggle Rock."
Now I never had cable as a kid, so I haven't seen one speck of Fraggle Rock. Don't think I'm missing much though, I was quite happy with Warner Bros.

10. You had plastic streamers on your handle bars.

11. You can sing the entire theme song to "Duck Tales."
::defensive:: That was a good show!

12. When it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons.
Darn straight! Saturday morning was Daddy and Kids time, when all we did was eat pancakes and watch cartoons, Daddy being the biggest kid out of all of us.

13. You wore a ponytail on the side of your head.
What can I say, I've always been a sucker for fashion.

14. You saw the original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" on the big screen.
I won't even mention that at 7 I used to think Michelangelo was my invisible boyfriend...

15. You got super-excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.
Best part of those pointless computer classes in the convent basement!

16. You made your Mom buy one of those clips that would hold your shirt in a knot on the side.
See question #13 for rationale.

17. You played the game "MASH" (Mansion, Apartment, Shelter, House)

18. You wore Jordache Jean jacket and you were proud of it.

19. L.A. Gear...

20. You wanted to change your name to "JEM" in Kindergarten.
I wanted JEM's earrings. Starry and sparkly, oh yeah.

21. You remember reading "Tales of a fourth grade nothing" and all the Ramona books.

22. You know the profound meaning of "WAX ON, WAX OFF"

23. You wanted to be a Goonie.
Still want to be a Goonie...

24. You ever wore fluorescent clothing.

25. You can remember what Michael Jackson looked like before his nose fell off...
One of the first albums I ever listened to over and over was his 'Bad' album at the age of 3.

26. You have ever pondered why Smurfette was the only female smurf.
In later years, we ponder the high rate of potential homosexuality amongst Smurfs...

27. You took Lunch Pails to school.
I just bought a Goonies Lunch Box recently. Grown up? Me? Hasn't happened yet.

28. You remember the CRAZE, then the BANNING of slap bracelets.
I remember my sister losing one under the bleachers of the NY Columbus Day parade during the craze. Randomness...

29. You still get the urge to say "NOT" after every sentence.

30. You remember Hypercolor T-shirts.

31. Barbie and the Rockers was your favorite band.
Actually, I think I listened to my Rainbow Brite cassette tape more...

32. You thought She-Ra and He-Man should hook up.
One of my first 'ships. ;)

33. You thought your childhood friends would never leave because you exchanged friendship bracelets.
Until we ripped them off because said former friend was an evil jerk...but maybe that's just me.

34. You ever owned a pair of jelly shoes.
Owned quite a few of them. I liked those shoes actually...

35. After you saw Pee-Wee's Big Adventure you kept saying "I know what you are, but what am I?"

36. You remember "I've fallen and I can't get up"

37. You remember going to the skating rink before there were inline skates.

38. You ever got seriously injured on a Slip and Slide.
I lived in Staten Island, there wasn't enough grass for a Slip and Slide. Doing it on pavement would have just been braindead, especially amidst all the cars hurtling down the hill. ;)

39. You have ever played with a Skip-It.

40. You had or attended a birthday party at McDonald's.

41. You've gone through this list occasionally saying "Totally awesome"

42. You remember Popples.
Still got my Popples somewhere too.

43. "Don't worry, be happy"

44. You wore like, EIGHT pairs of socks over tights with high top Reeboks.

45. You wore socks scrunched down.
Oh yes...

46. "Miss MARY MACK MACK, all dressed in BLACK BLACK BLACK" Or, Ms. Susie had a steamboat, the steamboat had a bell (toot toot) Ms. Susie went to heaven, the steamboat went to... (Hello operator / please give me # 9 / and if you disconnect me / I'll cut off your / beHIND the refrigerator / there lay a piece of glass... I could go on.)
Re: Miss Susie: Weren't we just ever so clever, getting to say all those bad words without actually saying them? Tee hee!

This was how we good Catholic School girls kept ourselves entertained on the playground (at least, when I wasn't breaking my arm on the monkey bars or attempting to escape to the street below...)

47. You remember boom boxes vs. CD players.
Again, still got the boom box somewhere too. Think it still works as well...

48. You remember watching both "Gremlins" movies.

49. You know what it meant to say "Care Bear Stare!"
Let's just ignore the fact that Lizzie still has a faded yellow Care Bear sitting on her bed at this very moment.

50. You remember watching Rainbow Brite and My Little Pony Tales.
Umm, I still have my Rainbow Brite tapes, taped off of the TV before channel five became the FOX network. Watched them recently too, but we won't mention that.

51. You thought Doogie Howser was hot.
I like geeks, but not that one.

52. You remember ALF, the lil furry brown alien from Melmac.
"It's really funny now that he's on those 10-10-321 commercials, and young kids are like, who the...?" Hehe, ditto.

53. You remember New Kids on the Block when they were cool.
I'm just glad I never wasted the money on all the apparel, like some of my friends were. I think I was just "into them" because everyone else I knew was.

54. You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved By the Bell," the ORIGINAL class.

55. You know all the words to Bon Jovi - YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME.
Bon Jovi lives in my town in Jersey. It's a requirement to know all the words to his songs (and like my mom, have a list of places where she's spotted him, which includes Linens and Things, and the voting booth on election day).
