Permit me to rant for a moment. (If you're just here for the fic, no worries, you can tune this out. It's my form of cheap therapy.)

Dear life,

You know, just as soon as I manage to get some sort of order and steady ground with you, something has to come along and throw a whacking great monkey wrench into the works. I finally manage to get everything organized at work, and I realize that I've been neglecting my schoolwork to the point that I'm not going to be sleeping for the next week to get things done.

Then, I get the schoolwork under control, get some great ideas for my annotations and the creative piece I have to work on, and then Mom has to shatter that happy little bubble with "did you send your tax stuff in yet?" "what about that thing I sent you in the mail?" "what do you mean you forgot your grandmother's birthday?!"

Argh. Please, enough with the guilt. I feel bad enough that I apparently have the mental capacity of a grain weevil lately for remembering stuff, she doesn't have to drive the guilt in like a freaking sharp needle under the toenail. I actually managed to forget what day of the week it was last week. That was a real fine moment.

*see icon above*

At least the cat loves me. Until she tries to pull my TV off the stand by the wires again. Then I could swear she's one of Crowley's minions.

*headdesk*
*headdesk*
*headdesk*

*deep breath*

Okay, thank you for indulging me. I had to get that out of my system. Back to the schoolwork now. I think I can get most of the creative piece done tonight as I wait for 'Einstein and Eddington' to download. I need a Tennant fix.

Sincerely,
L.

It's okay, sweetie. It will get better.

**hugs you** and gives a stern look to your cat.

Enjoy your Tennant fix. :)

*hugs back* Thanks darling, I appreciate it. :)

*snickers* Good luck getting little Misfortune to listen to your stern look (Her name is actually Fortuna-yes, after the Stone Rose, I am that much of a dork-but Misfortune seems appropriate, especially after that time she fell in the toilet bowl).

Tennant fix was most enjoyable. *veg*

I hate when real life decides to intrude on good life. The nerve.

Gah, it's so true. I'd love to just be able to bury myself in my writing right now, both for fic and for school, but everything else comes along, gah.....thanks for the good thoughts, hon. :)

I had the worst day imaginable yesterday and all of last week was suckier than a hoover - but today (despite the fact I think I killed my credit card) is looking up a little.

Just take a good hefty does of Tennant (if you haven't listened to Quite Ugly One Morning add that to your downloads and enjoy), and remember the trick is to keep breathing.

*hugs back* Ugh, I'm sorry you had a bad day/week as well. It's just horrible, but I think we will make it through. Like you said, just keep breathing. I had to remind myself of that today.

Suckier than a hoover though, I think I may borrow that turn of a phrase. ;)

Quite Ugly One Morning, you say? *arches eyebrows*

Thank you so much for that link. I downloaded the whole thing, and ended up listening to it all day while at work. I probably got more than a few looks for either snickering under my breath, or getting a soppy smile on my face, but it was sooooooo worth it. :)

LOL. I tend to put David on to read me to sleep - on the first reading of this one I didn't get much sleep that because I was so enthralled.

I mean... it was just enthralling from the first word of actual story and within 2 1/2 minutes he uses the phrase "postman must be built like the fuckin' Tardis". At that point I was completely lost to fangirlish glee.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Considering that I stayed up til 1:30 in the morning watching it, it was really good. Especially when the opening shot is pretty much Tennant in tight breeches, a vest, boots...then there was the shot with him in the breeches again, but with the suspenders hanging off, and a hat, and it was raining....yah. Mmmmmmm, indeed. Definitely made me finally fall asleep with something happy in my head.

(Aside from the superficial lust over the entire thing, I actually enjoyed the plot as well, even though it was a bit weird seeing Gollum as Albert Einstein...).

Isn't Tennant brilliant in it? Aside from being hot (which goes without saying), he's just so beautifully *quiet,* which is not how you normally think of Tennant. And that scene, under the tree, with his sister...

Oh god, that scene....I started to wibble a bit myself, and I don't let myself get emotional too easily. You're absolutely right though, quiet is the best way to describe it. It's such a change to pull off as compared to many of the other roles that we know him in...and it really was brilliant.

I could be happy for years off of that survival kit, no doubt. :) Lots of goodies in there....

Things have calmed down a bit (hence how I am able to finally answer these posts after being buried in coursework for the past forty-eight hours). Now I want to sit back and write the stuff I want to write, despite the fact that my flat is a total tip at the moment and screaming at me to be cleaned...

Doesn't RL just make you wish you could crawl into the internet and live in fandom sometimes? Senior year, every time I talked to my mother she always focused the conversation on what I should be doing that I wasn't. It was incredibly frustrating and guiltifying (No, I don't care that it's not even close a real word. It fits.).

Anyway, go have your DT fix. Speaking of which *points to icon* enjoy!

OMG YES. This is me crawling into happy-AU-Doctor Who-World and not coming out. And guiltifying is the perfect word for that. The OED should have that in there (if they have included Dalek and TARDIS in there, they can put in guiltifying). I nearly bashed my had on the steering wheel deliberately after I had ended that conversation. Mothers. Argh.

DT fix was quite enjoyable, thankee. :) And that icon...guh indeed.

I have a feeling that life has gone and kidnapped you without leaving a ransom note or anything. I only say this because life did the same thing to me last week.

Hope all is well and life is getting back on track and if you haven't you should youtube this year Red Noise Day, there are some great David clips that would make any girl happy.

*hugs* Take care.
